How to Cure Internal Hemmroids?
If you are experiencing difficulty in passing stools and you see bloodstains in your stools you are probably having internal hemmroids. However not all blood in the stools are caused by internal hemmroids, it might also be an indication of other diseases like colorectal cancer.
The primary cause of hemmroids is our lifestyle- not enough fiber food in our body, insufficient in-take of water, eating too much meat and too much sugar intake, lack of exercise, prolonged sitting, and irregular bowel movement, obesity, etc.; all these cause hemmroids problems.
Although hemmroids are not life-threatening and symptoms will disappear in a few days, it is still best to consult the physician for any signs so as not to cause the aggravation of hemmroids. Early diagnosis of internal hemmroids prevents further damage or complications.
Not all people who have hemmroids experience symptoms. Some Internal hemmroids are asymptomatic. Although, most commonly, they are manifested by bright red blood covering the stool, blood in your toilet paper, or toilet bowl. Some internal hemmroids protrude through the anus which causes irritation, itching and pain.
At an early signs of internal hemmroids a diagnosis by the doctor should be done. The doctor who would be examining the patient for hemmroids will perform a digital exam of the anus or a closer evaluation of the rectum.
During attacks of hemmroids it is advised that the patient keep the area clean and dry, wash
or immerse the affected area in warm water for 15 minutes 2 to 3 times a day so as to reduce the swelling, defecate regularly, and avoid prolonged sitting so as not to exert pressure on the hemorrhoids. The patient would be more comfortable sitting on a cushion than on hard surfaces.
Initially the patient having internal hemmroids may reduce the symptoms by using creams specially made for hemmroids. To prevent a recurrence the patient should have an in-take of fibrous food like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, drink eight glasses of water and undergo proper exercise. These will help keep the stool soft so as not to strain the anus during passing of stool. The fist two stages of hemmroids do not require any surgery.
Therefore, it is important that a person with hemmroids problem take urgent actions to cure them or it will aggravate into the third stage which usually requires surgery.
In cases when the hemmroids become severe, they are treated by removing or reducing the hemmroids tissue endoscopically or surgically. These techniques include rubber band ligation where a rubber band placed around the rectum stops circulation thus causing the hemmroids to dry in a few days. Sclerotherapy is done by injecting a chemical solution around the blood vessel causing the blood vessel to shrink. A special devise called infrared coagulation may also be used to burn the hemmroids tissue. Hemorrhoidectomy is done to very severe and enlarged cases of hemorrhoids.
It is always better to take care of the causes of hemmroids so as not to face the same problems over and over again.
