How to Treat and Cure Hemorrhoids
There is enough evidence to show that our present modern norms of living have something to do with the onset of this medical condition called hemorrhoids. This may not be a life-threatening state, but it can get worse and progressively painful too. As such, some doctors are favoring less medicine-based treatments and invasive procedures for piles.
Rather, they are advocating natural ways of preventing the onset of piles in the first place. Here are a few hemorrhoids causes and treatment or curing tips.
Hemorrhoids Causes And Treatment Tip #1: Our modern day diets are stacked with one or more types of processed foods. It does not matter if they come bottled, candied, canned, concentrated, freeze-dried, frozen, liquefied, pre-cooked, pre-marinated, pre-minced, packed as self-cooking meals, reconstituted, or packaged as the instant food variety.
The bottom line is, the food processing method usually limits or destroys the naturally presentfibers from the food we eat. Fiber is essential in the prevention of hemorrhoids since these help flush out the toxins from the body readily. Without ample fiber in our diets, bowel movement will literally become a pain in the posterior.
Instead of depending on laxatives and other synthetic fiber supplements, doctors are advising more fiber-rich foods to be included in everyday meals. A healthy heaping of about 40-50 grams of fiber per day is one of the best ways to prevent the onset of hemorrhoids.
Fiber is easy enough to find in most fresh food like vegetables and fruits, as well as in most grain based products. When we say “fresh,” this does not mean that you have to eat every prescribed food in its raw form. This just means that you prepare the meals using fresh products. Fiber can be found in broccoli, cabbages, green peas, spinach, etc. It can also be found in apples, citrus fruits (like oranges and strawberries) and other seasonal fruits.
Grain-based products like barley, bran, cereals, rice, wheat, etc. also contain large doses of
fiber. Mushrooms and raw nuts are also great sources of fiber.
Hemorrhoids Causes And Treatment Tip #2: The state of being overweight and obese is something that has been seen only in modern man. Apparently, our comfortable way of living is becoming too comfortable, and weight gain is the most obvious consequence. In fact, recent studies show that there are more obese kids in the US nowadays than there were 50 years ago… in the entire world.
Unfortunately, being too heavy causes the rectal muscles and veins to weaken and eventually distend with blood; creating the “cushions” of tissues we now call the piles.
Losing weight is another option in order to prevent the onset of hemorrhoids. Even losing just a few pounds is beneficial already to the poor or weakened muscles and veins in the posterior area. It would also help if the overweight or obese person stays off from sitting too much to let the area “heal.”
